Onboard ‘Fair Dinkum’

CURRENT POSITION

The Skipper and crew are now preparing to make a left turn at the top of Australia to head to Darwin.

They will probably not be in such constant contact with us for a few weeks, so we are preparing to do a few interviews with people that will give you some insight into our intrepid skipper and his crew. It is taking a little longer than expected to catch up with people, so please be patient with us!
The guys are experiencing great sailing and overnight anchorages, but are now in the more remote areas.

Words from Gerr..ard the Gent.

“Gerr…ard the Gent is no experienced fisherman….he managed t
o snare his own hands with fish hooks, instead of the fish! This resulted in being able to
extract one hook, but he had to make and painful trip to Cooktown to get the
2nd one taken out! The skipper had some choice words for this episode.”

NO DOUBT HE HAS BEEN BANNED FROM GOING ANYWHERE NEAR FISHING LINES AND HOOKS FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP!

Quote of the Week is from the Religion of a Sailor by Antoine de Saint Exupery –
“If you want to build a ship, don't drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea..."

watch for MORE NEWS as it comes in from the FAR NORTH….
