Fair Dinkum Slipped

Fair Dinkum has been slipped and made ready below her waterline.

The boat is back at Docklands. Gerry and the crew are working on, and slowly ticking off, the 32 items left on Gerry's list of  'things to do'.

There will be a farewell BBQ the day before departure, Good Friday, at the boat. BYO food and drink please. Donations will be gratefully received on the day. The boat can be a little hard to find; the boat's navigator gets lost every time! A map and / or instructions will be posted.

Rob's book Desert Sailor -  A Journey of Endurance is with the printer and will be available shortly. The book is the memoirs of his running and sailing adventures. There is a chapter on the Bicentennial Tall Ships Race sailed on Gerry's boat, Avarest. A chapter also covers the 50th sailing of the Sydney to Hobart, sailed on the Fair Dinkum. These chapters could be well worth a read by anyone contemplating coming on board with Captain Gerry! For more information check out the official site - www.desertsailor.com.au
